The Cottage was originally the living quarters for the occupants of the longhouse, cottage and barn as one building. The Heritage Centre is in the barn section.. The Cottage is currently leased as a short-let providing a unique oppcrtunity to rent a 17th Century cottage and experience a piece of Heysham’s history! In the refurbishment of 2010-12 the architectural features of the Cottage have been re-instated and conserved, and the facilities provided are of a very high quality. It consists of: Ground Floor: Sitting room with flagstone floor. Dining room/kitchen with uneven floor. First floor: Beamed double bedroom with sloping ceiling. Shower room/WC with double shower cubicle. Because this is a character cottage, some of the doorways are low.
